Caravan and Motorhome Repairs Melbourne

Mobile panel, paint and fibreglass repairs for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and pop-tops at your driveway or storage yard.

Mobile Panel, Paint and Fibreglass Repair — I Come to You

Caravans and motorhomes are a nightmare to take to a panel shop. They're big, awkward to tow, and most workshops aren't set up for them. That's exactly why mobile repair makes sense — I come to your driveway, your storage yard, or wherever your van is stored, with everything needed to do the job properly.

I'm Lucio, and I've been doing mobile panel and paint repairs across Melbourne for over 35 years. Caravans and motorhomes are one of the most rewarding things I work on, because owners are usually relieved to find someone who'll actually come to them rather than asking them to tow a 7-metre van across town.

Text or WhatsApp me a few photos of the damage — plus the make, model and rough age of your van — and I'll come back with an honest quote, usually the same day. Your van doesn't have to move an inch.

What I Repair on Caravans and Motorhomes

Road debris and stone chips — Highway kilometres take a toll. Stones and debris flicked up by trucks chip paint, crack fibreglass and dent cladding. I repair the damage and refinish to match.

Branch scratches — Narrow tracks, overhanging trees and tight caravan park sites leave long scratches down the sides. I sand back, repair and repaint so they disappear.

Reversing damage — Backing a van onto a site or into storage is where a lot of damage happens: creased panels, scraped corners, cracked mouldings. All repairable on site.

Hail damage — Hail dents in aluminium cladding and chips or cracks in fibreglass. I fill, refinish and repaint affected panels; for widespread hail damage I can quote for insurance work.

Side panel dents and scrapes — Low-speed knocks in caravan parks and storage-yard scrapes all leave their mark. I repair and repaint to match the original finish.

Gelcoat repair — Cracks, chips, fading and discolouration in the gelcoat finish. Common on older caravans and motorhomes after years of sun exposure.

Pre-trip touch-ups — Heading off on a trip and want the van looking sharp? I can take care of paint scuffs, fibreglass chips, and minor cosmetic damage before you leave.

Fibreglass and Aluminium — Both Done Properly

Caravan and motorhome bodies come in two main builds, and they need different repair skills.

Fibreglass bodies — cracks, chips and delamination need to be cut back to sound material, re-laid with quality fibreglass resins, then finished with gelcoat or paint. Done badly, fibreglass repairs crack again within a season. Done properly, they outlast the original.

Aluminium cladding — most Australian-built vans use aluminium sheeting, which dents and creases very differently to steel car panels. It's thin, it stretches, and inexperienced hands make the damage worse. After 35 years I know how to work it back into shape and refinish it to match.

Whatever your van is built from, I carry the materials for both.

Caravans, Motorhomes and Everything In Between

I work on the full range — full-size caravans, pop-tops, camper trailers, motorhomes, campervans, slide-ons, and 5th-wheelers. Jayco, New Age, Coromal, Roma, Crusader, Snowy River, Avida, Sunliner, Goldstream, Austrack, Bushtracker and the rest of the Australian-built brands — the same principles apply: quality materials, experienced hands, and a finish that's done properly.

Storage Yards, Caravan Parks and Home Driveways

A lot of caravan owners store their van in a paid storage yard rather than at home. That's no problem — I work in storage yards across Melbourne's eastern and south east suburbs all the time. Just give me the address and access details, and I'll get the work done without you needing to move the van.

If your van lives at home, even better. I work in your driveway with minimal disruption, and most cosmetic repairs are completed in a day or two.

Why Mobile Beats a Workshop for Caravans

Towing a caravan across town to a workshop, leaving it there for a week, then collecting it — that's a lot of effort for a panel repair. With mobile repair, your van stays put. No tow, no scheduling around workshop space, no risk of further damage in transit. I bring the workshop to your van.

Quality Guaranteed

I use DuPont paints, 3M materials and quality fibreglass resins — the same products used on cars worth six figures. Every repair I do on a caravan or motorhome is guaranteed. If you're not happy with the result, I'll make it right.
